It’s hard to imagine that a single venue can have such a diverse landscape. And I might dare to say: one venue, with endless possibilities?
That’s what I found when I first drove onto Union Grove Farm‘s property. The place is special, from the mist rising over the lake in the morning, to the newly built chandelier laden barn that towers over it. On the opposing side of the street, you find an entirely different, and equally breathtaking landscape that includes a peaceful lake with a manmade waterfall followed by the main house which is rentable to make your wedding day last a whole weekend, if desired. Beyond that, hectares of muscadine grape vineyards that make you feel like you’ve been transported from Chapel Hill to some far off place in Europe.
Hayley with An Event To Remember dreamed up three distinctly different looks, all on this one venue’s vast landscape. The first look imagined a ceremony right under the balcony of the barn, a scene which overlooks a stream that trickles into the calm lake and floating gazebo. The second look explored the possibilities of a ceremony in front of the barn, and reception taking place under the towering ceiling of the barn itself. The third look brought us out to the calm of the vineyards, showcasing what it could be like to have both your ceremony and reception in the density and magic of the vineyard hectares.
The food from all three looks was compliments of Sage & Swift Catering, with cakes designed by Sugar Euphoria. Tableware and rentals hailed from American Party Rentals, dotted with furniture and design by Petal & Oak. Pinola Press designed three sets of invitations and signage, to coordinate with the vibe of each of the looks. Florals that were foraged and designed came from Petal & Oak, An Event To Remember and Event Flouret. Cheese plates and mouthwatering charcuterie boards enhanced the tables of looks 2 & 3, designed by Pinola Bar, whose mobile bar appeared in look 2 and can make an appearance at any special event. All bride models wore Gavin Christianson Bridal attire, and all groom models wore suits from Bernard’s Formalwear, having makeup and hair stylings by Blissful Muse.
