Being a part of the Green Wedding Guild, I always love the opportunity we have to participate in styled shoots. For this spring styled shoot, I was partnered with a crew of vendors who were all working together to capture one of three incredible sustainable looks.
Emily with EK Events, who was the planner for this look, decided to go with a daring and striking theme for this shoot. You’ll notice non-traditional wedding garb, bold makeup and hair styling by Love Struck Beauty, seashells and neon silk flower ornaments, paired with softer, vintage table settings, all rented from Southern Vintage and CE Rentals. Jen Hankin with Joint Venture provided the jewelry for our shoot, and each piece was really a statement in and of itself. Our models were Erin & Alexandra, and they were such a dream to work with. Their love, so sweet and steady, matched with the vivid coloring and edgy outfits (helloooo, leather jackets!) created a bold, yet tender feel throughout the day of filming. Raven with Raven Shutley Studios drove up from her home base of Atlanta, Georgia, to be our photographer, was a dream to shoot alongside and elicited so many laughs throughout the day.
I wanted to capture all of that boldness in my video, while still highlighting the softer and tender moments. I’d say that was my favorite part of the shoot: the dance between the bold and daring, with the subtle and steady.
